Through 7 media-rich modules, students explore essential environmental science concepts accompanied by practical applications. Students tackle local and global ecological issues through real-world assignments, utilizing emerging technologies to analyze and address these challenges effectively. Each module begins with an animated case study, providing insights into Virginia's contemporary or historical environmental issues or spotlighting pivotal figures in environmental science. This course, developed with student input, addresses our world's changing environment and challenges students to become engaged citizens. Upon completion, students will emerge with a profound understanding of environmental science, armed with the capabilities to make a meaningful impact on their community and beyond.
