Economics and Personal Finance
Based on the Virginia Standards of Learning, this Economics and Personal Finance course fully integrates economic principles and theory with personal finance concepts. Aligned to the Virginia History and Social Science Standards of Learning for Economics and Personal Finance and Career and Technical Education skills, this course is engaging, multimedia-rich, and filled with information to help all students become financially literate consumers, savers, investors, entrepreneurs, and employees. In this course, students explore economic systems in the United States and worldwide. Additionally, students learn about budgeting and purchasing decisions, online banking and protection from identity theft and fraud, using credit responsibly, planning for education and living expenses, paying taxes, analyzing savings and investing, and much more.
