The annual Virginia Children's Festival returned to Norfolk's Town Point Park this weekend. WHRO Public Media's education staff enjoyed seeing hundreds of parents and children at their tent.
This exciting family festival is filled with more than 100 fun, creative and interactive activities that include storytelling, hands-on workshops, educational displays, cultural experiences, arts and crafts, military demonstrations, costumed characters and more.
Attendees also enjoyed a storytime session with Ms. Martha from Ms. Martha Reads.
At the WHRO booth, visitors could play games to win prizes, explore WHRO’s great kids' programming and services, choose a mask of a favorite PBS character, pick up coloring sheets, and meet Clifford the Big Red Dog.
This event is a staff favorite every year, and this year did not disappoint!
Thank you to everyone who came out!
WHRO is proudly owned by the 21 school divisions in the southeastern Virginia region.
