Every Fall, WHRO Education is out in full force at the Virginia Children's Festival!

WHRO’s PBS Kids Raising Readers booth is located right next to the Main Stage, featuring interactive whiteboards connected to PBS Kids Lab, monitors running clips from PBS Kids shows, and WHRO’s popular Cube Game, where all children win age appropriate books.

Children of all ages are delighted by the stage appearances of top PBS performers like Sesame Street's Elmo and Maria, Mr. Steve Songs, and Shock from The Electric Company.  Sometimes, these stars even take time to "Meet and Greet" their fans.  PBS costume characters also come out to visit and take photos with the children including the likes of Daniel Tiger, Super Why, Princess Presto, Sid The Science Kid, Cat In The Hat, and Word Girl.
